Open Letter |
This is the web site of the
Barseb�ckoffensiv99. This group is working to ensure that the Swedish government will
close the Barseback nuclear power station as it promised to do so following a referendum
in 1980. The power station is located in the south of Sweden 20Km from Copenhagen. In
cooperation with German, Danish and Norwegian pressure groups, Barseb�ckoffensiv99 is
organising a number of events. The main event is a cycle
tour starting in Germany at the Gorleben nuclear waste facility and finishing with
marches in Malmoe and Lund in Sweden on 7 August. Close to 100 cyclists took part in the
cycle tour from Germany and they were joined by many more protestors in Sweden.
